According to an order issued yesterday by the D.C. Superior Court Criminal Division, the following courtrooms will be open as of January 4, 2021, either remotely or partially remotely: 

Partially Remote Courtrooms

201:  non-jury trials for detained defendants

202:  non-jury trials for detained defendants

310:  felony 2 and 3 preliminary hearings, misdemeanor detention hearings, Office of Attorney General non-jury trials, and dispositive motions hearings for detained defendants

316:  dispositive motions hearings for detained defendants

319:  bond review, status, disposition and sentencing hearings for detained defendants

Remote Courtrooms

C-10:  arraignments, presentments, extraditions, walk-in bench warrants after 1 pm

111: non-detained defendants participating in drug court and mental health community court

112:  status and sentencing hearings, pretrial and probation show cause hearing, and walk-in bench warrants for non-detained defendants

115: bond review, status, disposition, and sentencing hearings for detained defendants

203: co-defendant preliminary hearings for detained defendants

210:  status, disposition, and sentencing hearings for detained defendants

211:  felony I preliminary hearings for detained defendants

213 (am):  status, disposition, and sentencing hearings for detained defendants

213 (pm):  status hearings set from C-10 for detained defendants

215:  felony 2 and 3 preliminary hearings for detained defendants

218:  hearings for defendants detained at Bureau of Prison, Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services or other non-Department of Corrections facility with defendant’s presence waived

220:  non-emergency probation show cause hearings

311:  hearings for defendants detained at Bureau of Prison, Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services or other non-Department of Corrections facility with defendant’s presence waived

312:  citation release cases prosecuted by U.S. Attorney’s Office

313:  citation release cases prosecuted of Office of Attorney General

314:  scheduling hearings for detained defendants with defendant’s presence waived

317: mental observations hearings for defendants at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital

321:  scheduling and trial readiness for detained defendants with defendant’s presence waived
